Suaimhneas Counselling
Pronounced “sweev-nus”, suaimhneas in Irish means peace, tranquility, quietness or rest.
This is the simplest and purest way to say “peace” and is a straightforward expression that carries the essence of tranquility.
Simply being still may be one of life's greatest luxuries.
Embedded in Humanistic Person‑Centred Therapy, at Suaimhneas Counselling we believe that everyone has an innate capacity for growth, healing, and self‑understanding when provided with the optimal environment.
We offer a safe, trusted and confidential space where clients can explore their emotions, increase self‑awareness, and feel empowered to make self‑directed changes.
Using an integrative approach, we also use experience and tools from other counselling modalities such as Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), tailored to the needs of our clients.

Benefits of Person-Centred Counselling
Person‑centred counselling recognises that individuals are experts of their own lives and can find solutions from within. Promoting psychological growth by nurturing a safe, trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship, our counselling helps clients build resilience, improve wellbeing and navigate life's challenges with greater clarity.
